Treating and healing Parkinson’s with amino acids is part of holistic medicine, Naturopathy, and Orthomolecular Medicine. Therapeutic doses of amino acids can repair some malfunctions in the brain and repair it. These are used in larger doses than those levels normally thought and can be found online or in your local health food store. This concept of orthomolecular medicine was pioneered by Dr. Linus Pauling. These doses of nutritional supplements, amino acids, or botanicals allow the cellular repair of the brain and the enhancement of brain activities. They should be done under the guidance and supervision of an expert medical practitioner. You have one brain. If you have a serious problem, it must be given care and attention. Parkinson’s is a degenerative disease that may be prevented or delayed if you are aggressive early in the treatment of brain symptoms. This will usually require several therapies at once in order to achieve the best outcome.
Parkinson’s can impact the brain in several ways including sleeping disorders, anxiety, stress, depression, memory loss, brain fog, psychosis, and impaired concentration and learning. The symptoms of Parkinson’s on the body are rigidity, impaired mobility, and tremors. Many of these concerns can be addressed with Orthomolecular Medicine. The problems are connected to dopamine and dopamine receptors in the brain and nervous system. The onset of Parkinson’s and the severity of the symptoms can be improved with amino acid therapy. Amino acids can be used to affect the neurotransmitters including acetylcholine, dopamine, and serotonin. The use of botanical products and extracts can sharpen thinking, improve moods, enhance concentration, treat depression, and extend the life of neurons.
Does this patient need any dietary changes? People with Parkinson’s disease should avoid caffeine, carbonated beverages, artificial sweeteners, food dyes, food additives, refined foods, alcohol, nicotine, corn syrup, high fructose sweeteners, and meats with hormones. This person needs an organic or local diet high in fruits and vegetables. The use of dairy products should not be excessive. The person needs to eat breakfast each day and have a moderate amount of protein. Whey protein and rice protein drinks can be a breakfast option.
The amino acids used in Quantum Molecular Medicine include L-phenylalanine, tyrosine, arginine, and theanine. These are used in large doses and taken twice per day. The amino acids may be combined with vitamins and minerals and be taken in drip IV form for patients with extreme symptoms. This may be a great idea for the young Parkinson’s patient that is trying to work. This would need to occur in addition to oral amino acids. The young patient stricken with Parkinson’s should be immediately evaluated for heavy metals and pesticide toxins. This should be removed with oral chelators or dietary chelators like organic wheat grass, and alfalfa.
Can anything else be added to this regimen of amino acids? CoQ10 and alpha lipoic acid will help the cardiac and nervous system and should be taken for the remainder of the person’s life.
The amino acid therapy treatment will improve symptoms. Yoga, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong will improve muscle rigidity and gait issues. It is important to get mild exercise even when it is difficult. This patient may benefit from Medical Qi Gong treatments. It is important to focus on getting adequate sleep. Sleep problems should be addressed with melatonin or calcium and magnesium supplements. A cup of herbal tea before bedtime can help with sleep issues.
